From the Ladoga Herald we learn that Miss Emma Hardy undertook to put an end to her troubles and trials of this world on Monday morning of last week, by taking an ounce of laudanum which failed to accomplish the desired end. On the same evening she took arsenic. Dr. Drake was called in who administered antidotes and saved her life. Disappointment in love is given as a reason for the rash act. - s
